      “双虞壶斋”，是主人著书立说的地方，因吴氏家族收藏的一对“虞司寇壶”而命名。吴式芬一生笃好金石文考古，从政之遐，搜集金石器物和拓片仅周、秦、汉就达130多件，撰写了《捃古录》、《捃古录金文》两部金石学专著。吴式芬在此斋收藏商周等各时期青铜器共七十余件，并且多数著作都以此斋命名。如《双虞壶斋印存》、《双虞壶斋八种日记》、《双虞壶斋藏器目》等。

      Studio of Twin Pots: Patriarch Wu Shifen composed writings at this place, which gets its name from Minister Yu’s twin pots collected by the clan. Mr Wu was fond of curios like metal/stone seals and rubbings, especially over 130 ones of Zhou, Qin and Han dynasties. Moreover, he had more than 70 bronzewares of Shang, Zhou and later times. No wonder this scholar wrote several works in this regard.
