无棣古城简介

无棣古城，国家AAAA级旅游风景区。无棣古城形成于商周，发展于隋唐，繁荣于明清，东西宽240米，南北长480米，占地11.5万平方米，城墙夯土筑成，四向建有城门、角置炮台和钟鼓楼，城内商肆旅社齐全，城外有护城河、荷花湾等水系环绕相联。汇集了鲁北地区多元的建筑风格，融合了齐文化、燕文化、河文化、海文化等多种文化及宗教文化和民俗风情。有“观一城则窥鲁北全貌”的独特魅力。

无棣古城人才荟萃，在历史上涌现了1个相国、7个翰林、9个尚书、10个侍郎、55个进士、167个举人，394个贡生，有被誉为"进士世家"、"尚书门第"、"九世朝臣"之称，享有"四省承宣三掌节钺，九封光禄两列史晟"之美誉的清代吴氏家族、有宋代词人李之仪、明代诗人杨巍等文鸣千载的文化巨擘。无棣古城，以人文鼎盛称著齐鲁

     Old Town of Wudi: It’s an AAAA tourist attraction of China. Founded in Shang or Zhou dynasty, this old town developed later in Sui and Tang dynasties and finally prospered in Ming and Qing dynasties. Being 480 m southward in length and 240 m eastward in width, it spans 115,000 m2 and all the city walls are made of rammed earth, with gates on all four sides. Moreover, there are battery, drum tower and bell tower at each of the four corners. Shops, taverns and hotels are scattered inside the town while moat, lotus bay and other waters are gurgling outside. The iconic architecture brings together various cultures as well as religion and folk customs. It is a northern Shandong in miniature. In feudal times, this town had nurtured 1 prime minister, 7 Hanlin scholars, 9 directors, 10 secretaries, 55 presented scholars, 167 recommended candidates and 394 tribute scholars. Especially, prestigious Wu clan, Song dynasty lyricist Li Zhiyi and Ming dynasty poet Yang Wei were held in great acclaim. Overall, the old town is a cultural pivot of Shandong province.
